A music video vignette study of Clarissa Davis, an enslaved woman who found her way to freedom dressed as a man and hidden in a box on a boat from Virginia to Massachusetts. Original story in, "The Underground Railroad," by William Still.
BIO
An artist from the beginning, Long Beach, CA native China began dancing, arranging music and writing poetry at the age of 6. A graduate of Long Beach Renaissance High School for the Arts, UC Davis with a BA in Creative Writing, and The Stella Adler Studio of Acting with an MA Equivalent in Dramatic Arts, China has always used art as a vehicle for expression and survival.
She is currently working on her first professional short film and EP, Cowgirl Delta, directed by Aliza Brugger, composed by China Pharr and Crispy Akiyama, and produced by Arlyn de Santos, slated for completion in September 2026.
You can find her walking around Riverside Park, at pilates class or being fabulous at Bloomingdales 59th.
